Part 3 – Fan Questions And Answers:

(Hyunseok)…I’d like to work with Kylie Minogue because she’s really sexy.

Here’s the last part of my interview with Apollo 18! A big thanks again to the guys for answering my questions and I wish them the best of luck on their US Tour next week!

12  What are your favorite bands from the US?

Daeinn: I like Nirvana, Slipknot, and Smashing Pumpkins.

Sangyun: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, and Spin Doctors.

(Hyunseok and Daeinn laughed very hard at the mention of Spin Doctors.)

Hyunseok:  What the hell?  Spin Doctors?  I like lots of American rock bands.  I like Beyonce and Freddie King (from Texas), too.

13  Do you like any African music?

Sangyun: We don’t know any African music. We will play on the same bill in Austin with an African band for the March 16 Day Party at the Dart Music International House.  We are excited to hear their music.

14  Who are your influences?

Hyunseok: We are influenced by so many things.  We are influenced by art, movies, music, beer, smoking, and beautiful women.  Everything we see and experience has an influence on us.

15  Who is an artist you would like to work with, alive or dead?

Hyunseok: Soundgarden because I love their music.  Also, I’d like to work with Kylie Minogue because she’s really sexy.

Daeinn: Kurt Cobain because his music had a big impact on me when I was growing up.

16  How long did it take you to make the song ‘Warm’?

Hyunseok: “Warm” took around 30 minutes to one hour to write. It was a really easy song to make.

Daeinn: “Warm” was made really naturally.  Hyunseok was playing guitar one day in my bedroom.  It sounded really good so I told him to keep playing.  I picked up my bass and started making the bass line for the song.  Sangyun joined in a few minutes later on drums.  Soon after “Warm” was finished.  I’m happy that people like the song.

I hope everyone at SXSW will also enjoy it.
