Idiotape, Jaurim, and Aziatix team up for Converse “3 Artists, 1 Song” exclusive track

Have you heard any of those sweet Converse collabo tracks that have hit the internet in the last year (such as this one)? If you have, then to Korean music enthusiasts, you are in for a treat, as Converse Inc. has announced that the “Three Artists, One Song” collaborative project is hitting Asia for the first time and featuring three Korean artists: indie group Jaurim, R&B/hip-hop trio Aziatix, and electronic act Idiotape.

“As Three Artists. One Song continues to champion artistic creativity globally, we couldn’t be more excited to extend this platform to the Asian market,” said Geoff Cottrill, Chief Marketing Officer of  Converse.  “Korea is a leading force in music and we’re stoked to bring such a diverse group of artists together for music fans around the globe.”

Three Artists. One Song invites artists to come together and express themselves through the creation of an original track. Recent song collaborations include “Warrior” by Mark Foster (Foster the People), Kimbra and A-trak and “Doyathing” by world-famous Gorillaz, James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and Andre 3000. Now in its eighth series, the unique music platform is set to launch in Korea, widening the scope for the celebration of international music talent.

The new collaboration features the unique indie sound of Jaurim (2011 MNET Asian Music Awards: “Best Live Act Nominee”); critically acclaimed electronic rock trio, Idiotape, who recently won “Best Electronic/Dance Album of the Year” at the 2012 Korean Music Awards; along with R&B/hip hop group Aziatix (#1 on 2012 iTunes R&B/Soul Album Chart, USA & Japan).  The forthcoming track and music video will be announced later this month and will be available for free to music fans globally at

As the rest of the Converse exclusive tracks, the new track will be accompanied by a music video and will be available for free to everybody. Yayyuh.

Here’s a taste of all three artist so you can begin imagining what this forthcoming track will sound like:
